Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup, also known as micro pigmentation or cosmetic tattooing, is a cosmetic technique that involves the application of pigments into the skin to create long-lasting makeup effects. It is designed to enhance features such as eyebrows, eyelids, and lips, and can also be used to camouflage scars and create the appearance of areolas after breast reconstruction surgery.

The process of permanent makeup involves a specialized tattooing technique using a machine or manual tool to deposit pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Before the procedure, a consultation is typically conducted by our Estheticians at UEMspa to discuss the client’s desired outcome, analyze facial features, and choose appropriate colors.

During the procedure, our skin specialists carefully apply the pigment to the desired area, often layer by layer, to achieve the desired color and shape. Local anesthesia or numbing agents are used to minimize discomfort during the process. After the initial application, clients may experience some swelling and redness, but these effects typically subside within a few days.

It’s important to note that while the term “permanent makeup” is commonly used, the results are not truly permanent and may fade over time due to factors such as sun exposure, skin type, and the body’s natural shedding of skin cells. Touch-up sessions are often recommended to maintain the desired look.

Overall, permanent makeup can be a convenient option for individuals who want to save time on their daily makeup routine, achieve a specific look, or address certain aesthetic concerns. However, we suggest our clients at UEMspa to get a free consultation by experienced professionals to ensure safe and satisfactory results.
